Team Visma | Lease a Bike is one of the most successful cycling teams in the world. And we are united by one passion - the bicycle.
Alongside the Pon brands Cervelo and Skoda, Lease a Bike has been the new jersey sponsor of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, one of the most successful and prestigious cycling teams of all time, since 1 January 2024. This means that Lease a Bike can be seen on the jerseys of Wout van Aert, Jonas Vingegaard and Marianne Vos, among others, throughout the 2024 cycling season.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike has won a total of 46 stages so far in 2024. And Jonas Vingegaard, two-time Grand Tour winner, achieved an impressive second place in the Tour de France. Marianne Vos sprinted to the green jersey for the Women's Team at the Tour de France Femmes.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike has been one of the most successful cycling teams in the world for years. However, just like Lease a Bike, the team is not resting on its laurels, but wants to continue to excel and win races in 2025. Together, we have the goal of getting a little better every day.
What unites us is not just the bike, but also our shared values. We are convinced that cycling has many positive effects and therefore want to get as many people as possible cycling.
Just a few months after the serious injuries to Jonas Vingegaard and Wout van Aert, Team Visma | Lease a Bike returned to top form at the 2024 Tour de France, winning a stage and finishing second overall. The documentary ‘Inside the Beehive’ shows the challenges of the world's biggest cycling race up close.
The Visma | Lease a Bike team has set itself the goal of promoting people's health through cycling. Lease a Bike is also convinced that more exercise in everyday life makes an important contribution to well-being and also reduces stress. That is why we are united by the common goal of making a contribution to a healthier society.
Managing Director Richard Plugge describes the team's philosophy as follows: "Our plan is based on two pillars: Training and growth. We don't just fish from the same pond, we enlarge the pond." Lease a Bike also wants to grow steadily and help as many people as possible to get their dream bike.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike and Lease a Bike both focus on the bicycle as a low-CO2 mobility option. Climate-neutral means of transportation are an important cornerstone of environmental and climate protection. In addition, we are taking further measures as part of our CSR project, for example by planting trees and promoting flowering meadows.
Social commitment is an important part of Team Visma | Lease a Bike's work. The "Team Visma | Lease a Bike Academy" organizes workshops in schools, among other places, to get children interested in cycling. At Lease a Bike, we also support charitable organizations as part of our CSR project and have donated bicycles to an SOS Children's Village, for example.
With Lease a Bike you are very close to your dream bike. And with savings of up to 40% compared to buying. Bike leasing with Lease a Bike makes your dreams come true.
The 2024 season started with two pieces of bad news for Team Visma | Lease a Bike: not only Belgian all-rounder Wout van Aert crashed heavily in March and suffered several broken bones, but also Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard. He not only suffered a fracture to his collarbone, but also an injury to his lung, which jeopardised not only the rest of the season, but his entire career in cycling. In the Giro d'Italia, which was overshadowed by this, Olaf Kooij was at least able to clinch a stage win.
Fortunately, both key players were fit again in time for the Tour de France, and the Visma | Lease a Bike team was able to achieve an impressive 2nd place in the overall classification, which was not only due to the circumstances. Vingegaard's stage win in Le Lioran, in which the Dane was able to counter an attack by the outstanding Tour winner Tadej Pogacar, will certainly be remembered forever. In the Tour de France Femmes, which was exciting right to the end, Marianne Vos won the sprint classification and thus secured the green jersey.
Several riders from the Visma | Lease a Bike team secured medals at the Olympics in Paris: Wout van Aert won bronze in the men's individual time trial, Anne Henderson silver in the women's individual time trial, Christophe Laporte bronze in the men's road race and Marianne Vos silver in the women's road race. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, the gold medallist in mountain biking, will also be riding on the road for Team Visma | Lease a Bike from 2025.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike is one of the most successful cycling teams in the world and has already won the Tour de France twice.
...this year! Team Visma | Lease a Bike always takes the next step forwards. Just like Lease a Bike. We share the same values - a little better every day.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike won all three Grand Tours in 2023.
August has been a successful month for Team Visma | Lease a Bike so far: the team's riders have put in some impressive performances at the Tour de Femmes, the Tour de Pologne and the ongoing Vuelta a Espana. At the Tour de Pologne, for example, not only was Jonas Vingegaard able to confirm his role as favorite and take a pleasing victory in the overall classification, but a second rider from Team Visma | Lease a Bike, Wilco Keldermann, also finished on the podium.
There are few bigger stages in cycling than the Tour de France, and we at Lease a Bike are proud to support Team Visma | Lease a Bike at this event. The team's participation in this year's Tour de France is particularly exciting, not least because of the impressive performances and the rousing atmosphere that our colleagues Tobias Macke and Dennis Langlets were able to experience live on site.
The former Team Jumbo-Visma, which had a historic season with victories in all three grand tours, will continue as Team Visma | Lease a Bike from January 1, 2024. Visma and Lease a Bike have both signed a contract as title sponsors for an indefinite period.
