There are few bigger stages in cycling than the Tour de France, and we at Lease a Bike are proud to support Team Visma | Lease a Bike at this event. The team's participation in this year's Tour de France is particularly exciting, not least because of the impressive performances and the rousing atmosphere that our colleagues Tobias Macke and Dennis Langlets were able to experience live on site.
The season began with a major challenge for the team. Jonas Vingegaard, one of the team's top riders, suffered a serious crash in the spring. For a long time, it was unclear whether he would be fit again in time for the Tour de France. But Vingegaard's tireless efforts and the support of the entire team paid off: He was able to recover in time and prepared intensively for the Tour.
Just a few days later, on July 13, it was Dennis Langlets who experienced the breathtaking 14th stage from Pau to Saint-Lary-Soulan. This 152 km mountain stage was a tough test during the Tour and demanded everything from the riders. Jonas Vingegaard impressed once again, finishing in 2nd place, demonstrating his incredible fighting spirit and excellent form.
Dennis was deeply impressed by the spectacular scenery and the intense effort of the riders. “The mountains and the challenge of this route created a unique atmosphere. The euphoria in the team and the passion of the fans at the side of the track were overwhelming,” he reported.
The Tour de France is not only a major sporting event, but also an emotional experience for everyone involved. For our Lease a Bike team, it was a special honor to support the Visma | Lease a Bike team on site and to experience the incomparable atmosphere of the Tour de France up close. Tobias and Dennis returned with many unforgettable impressions and spoke enthusiastically about the euphoria and team spirit as well as the enthusiasm of the fans.
