About bike leasing. Find out more in the Lease a Bike blog.
E-bikes are now a popular mobility option all year round - even in winter. But many users ask themselves the question: How does the cold affect the performance of the battery? The answer is that cold can actually affect the capacity of an e-bike battery, as the chemical reactions in the lithium-ion cells take place more slowly at low temperatures.
The year 2025 will bring exciting developments in the world of e-bikes. Advances in technology and materials, a stronger focus on sustainability and the adaptation to modern lifestyles are making e-bikes an increasingly important option in mobility. Below is an overview of the key trends.

Many employees start the year with fresh resolutions: more exercise, less stress and a more conscious approach to the environment are often at the top of the list. Employers can use this momentum not only to support their team, but also to motivate them in the long term - and company bikes can play a key role in this.

A new study by DEKRA and the market research institute Ipsos shows that many cyclists in Germany perceive road traffic as unsafe. Especially in cities, many people feel uneasy, which often turns cycling into a tense affair. According to the survey, 41% of respondents feel unsafe or even very unsafe in urban traffic - a figure that has actually risen slightly since the last survey. On country roads, 34 percent of cyclists also feel very unsafe. Many see the inadequate cycling infrastructure as the main problem. An improvement in cycle paths and more decoupling from car traffic are among the most frequent demands of those surveyed. Action is therefore needed to improve the safety situation for cyclists in Germany. But how can cyclists themselves actively contribute to safer everyday traffic? Especially with the pedelec, better known as an e-bike, which is becoming increasingly popular, there are a number of behaviors and precautions that can increase safety in traffic.
