The world of work is changing - and so are the mobility options offered by employers. The latest Future Mobility Lab report on corporate mobility, based on two extensive surveys of employers and employees in Germany, sheds light on the trends and potential in occupational mobility. The aim of the survey was to provide a database for the discussion on current changes and potentials of mobility offers by employers.
72% of companies have increased the proportion of electric vehicles in their fleet. This not only helps to reduce emissions, but also offers tax benefits for companies and employees.
56% of companies now offer the Deutschlandticket or Jobtickets for local and long-distance transport to make it easier to switch to public transport.
Flexible sharing offers for cars, e-bikes and e-scooters are increasingly being offered by companies to provide employees with a greater choice of sustainable means of transportation.
Instead of individual offers, some companies grant a mobility budget that can be used flexibly for different means of transportation. This enables individual and needs-based use of sustainable mobility solutions.
62% of employers have extended the option of working from home. Less commuting means a direct reduction in emissions and a better work-life balance for employees.
According to the study, 77% of the companies surveyed that have changed their mobility offering in the last three years have introduced company bike leasing. This puts it at the top of the list of new mobility offerings.
The study clearly shows that companies are increasingly relying on a wide range of mobility services in order to become more sustainable, attractive and flexible. Company bike leasing, e-mobility, public transport services and sharing models play a key role in the mobility transition.

In an increasingly urbanized world where environmental awareness and sustainability play an ever more important role, companies are looking for innovative solutions to optimize their corporate mobility. In recent years, corporate bike leasing has proven to be an attractive option for companies that want to promote both the health of their employees and environmental sustainability.
A new study by DEKRA and the market research institute Ipsos shows that many cyclists in Germany perceive road traffic as unsafe. Especially in cities, many people feel uneasy, which often turns cycling into a tense affair. According to the survey, 41% of respondents feel unsafe or even very unsafe in urban traffic - a figure that has actually risen slightly since the last survey. On country roads, 34 percent of cyclists also feel very unsafe. Many see the inadequate cycling infrastructure as the main problem. An improvement in cycle paths and more decoupling from car traffic are among the most frequent demands of those surveyed. Action is therefore needed to improve the safety situation for cyclists in Germany. But how can cyclists themselves actively contribute to safer everyday traffic? Especially with the pedelec, better known as an e-bike, which is becoming increasingly popular, there are a number of behaviors and precautions that can increase safety in traffic.
