Together with Borussia Mönchengladbach, the company bike leasing provider Lease a Bike is donating 30 bikes to the Hephata Protestant Foundation, which can use them in its special schools and workshops.
The Advent season held a very special surprise for Hephata in Mönchengladbach. Borussia Mönchengladbach and its company bike leasing provider Lease a Bike surprised the Protestant foundation, which has been a partner of the association for ten years, with 30 bicycles.
"Borussia approached us with the idea that we could get bicycles for our children and employees through Lease a Bike," explains Uwe Junkers, responsible for central purchasing at Hephata. "When you see how happy everyone is, you know it's a huge campaign for us."
The bikes were distributed to the Hephata workshops and Hephata's special schools. These include the Karl Barthold School in Mönchengladbach, where some pupils have already been able to take their first rides on the new bikes. "This is a really great initiative for us," says principal Britta Berentzen happily. "It means we can offer mobility training and take our pupils on excursions."
The donation covers the entire range of bikes: from balance bikes for the little ones, classic ladies' and men's bikes in various sizes, e-bikes and a cargo bike. This means that children and caregivers at the facilities are sustainably mobile. The fun with the bikes will convince everyone to start the new year 2024 fit and healthy with lots of exercise.
Christian Wölbern, Managing Director of Lease a Bike, is delighted with the positive feedback: "We want to spread the joy of cycling - and we have definitely succeeded here." The mission of the company bike leasing provider is to inspire people to get on their bikes - to do sport, to cycle to work and to generally encourage a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle in everyday life.
Green mobility concepts contribute to a good common future. But Lease a Bike is also committed to making a social contribution to fair coexistence.
